Osasuna Completes First Training Session of a Two-Game Week

Team to Train Behind Closed Doors at El Sadar on Tuesday

Club Atlético Osasuna held an open training session Monday morning at the Tajonar Sports Complex, the first of a week in which the team will play two matches: Thursday against F.C. Barcelona (9 p.m. CET, Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys) and Sunday against Athletic Club (6:30 p.m. CET, San Mamés). The team completed a session that included activation exercises in the gym, passing drills, tactical work and small-sided games.

Forward Ante Budimir did not participate in the session after playing in Croatia’s UEFA Nations League quarterfinal second leg on Sunday, while defender Enzo Boyomo was also absent as he prepares to play with Cameroon against Libya in a FIFA World Cup qualifier on Tuesday. Forward Bryan Zaragoza continued his recovery process. Meanwhile, Osasuna Promesas goalkeeper Pablo Valencia, defenders Unai Santos and defender Christian Mutilva and forwards Pablo Moreno and Noel López trained with the first team.

The team will train behind closed doors at El Sadar on Tuesday and will hold another open session in Tajonar on Wednesday to finalize preparations for the match against Barcelona. After the game in Barcelona, Osasuna will return to Pamplona on Friday morning and train at the Tajonar Sports Complex upon arrival to begin preparations for the match against Athletic Club. In addition to Friday’s session, Head coach Vicente Moreno’s squad will train Saturday morning as they complete their preparations for the LaLiga Matchday 29 fixture.
