"We want to be competitive and win," head coach Vicente Moreno

The Rojillo gaffer addressed the media ahead of tomorrow's match at Unión Deportiva Las Palmas.

Osasuna head coach Vicente Moreno addressed the media ahead of tomorrow's match against U.D. Las Palmas at Estadio de Gran Canaria. Kickoff is set for 9 p.m. CET (8 p.m. GMT/3 p.m. ET). Regarding the game, Moreno highlighted that the team was heading there "to be competitive and want to win." He added, "We are a team that always plays to win. Football is complicated; sometimes, you don't get it even playing to win. Our winless streak in league play is stretching – we have to count the three we've won in Copa, but the facts remain – we want to win again regardless of the opponent we face, this time in Las Palmas, and we will have to do it there."

The Rojillo gaffer expanded on the club's current league streak by saying, "You have to be optimistic because I feel that throughout these games, going further out the five draws, we have been close to winning a few of those. The difference between winning and a draw is slim and has been for us, but we have to be optimistic because I see the team competing. We must remain in the battle if there are chances to win."

About the match, Moreno commented, "It's a nice challenge, and this team likes nice challenges. The stats put the game as tough; our goal is to win first because we need to and then because we are ambitious and want to. We know the difference between winning and not, how nice it can be, and what it means to get, even if it is an anecdote, in a good place, which is what winning gives you."
