Osasuna trains in Tajonar and begins to prepare for the cup match against Athletic Club

Tomorrow and Wednesday, the Rojillos will train behind-closed-doors

Club Atlético Osasuna returned to the training pitch at the Tajonar Sports Complex after yesterday’s 1-0 loss against Atlético de Madrid. Los Rojillos have begun preparing to face Athletic Club in the Copa del Rey round of 16 on Thursday, January 16, at San Mamés. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. CET (6:30 p.m. GMT/1:30 p.m. ET).

As the team does every time after a match, the players are divided into two groups according to the minutes played in the last game. Those with the most minutes did regenerative work, while the rest did complementary work. Osasuna Promesas’ goalkeeper Dimitrios Stamatakis and forward Pablo Moreno joined the session. Meanwhile, forward Bryan Zaragoza continued with his recovery process.

The team will continue preparing for the cup match with two sessions behind closed doors on Tuesday and Wednesday. Following the game against Athletic Club, the team will prepare to face Rayo Vallecano (Sunday, January 19, at El Sadar. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. CET) with an open-door session at the Tajonar Sports Complex. On Friday, head coach Vicente Moreno will have a closed-door session; on Saturday, he will host an open-door session.
