Club Atlético Osasuna and midfielder Javi Martínez have agreed to mutually part ways. Martínez, 25, was still under contract through June 2026. The Ólvega native joined the Osasuna academy as a youngster at age 13. He worked his way up the academy pyramid, joining the club’s affiliate in 2016 and making his first team debut in 2019. He went on loan to Albacete in 2022 and Huesca in 2023 and 2024. Since joining the first team in 2019, Martínez made 51 appearances as a Rojillo – nine in Copa del Rey, 1 in Segunda División and 41 in the top tier – and scored three goals. During his loan spells, he played 50 games in the second tier of Spanish football with S.D. Huesca and seven with Albacete.
