Osasuna Femenino strengthens its academy with the creation of an 8-a-side team

The team comprises 12 players born between 2012 and 2014 and will compete in the 8-a-side Navarrese League U-12/U-14 division.

Osasuna Femenino will have an 8-a-side team this season, adding to the team's pyramid (First team, affiliates B & C) and the network clubs. The new team adds to the rojillo entity's efforts to continue growing the sport for girls and strengthens its academy.

The team will have players born between 2012 and 2014 and compete in the 8-a-side Navarrese League U-12/U-14 division. The coaching staff is led by Estibaliz del Río and joined by Iván Arriazu as assistant and strengthening and conditioning coach and Ángel Vergara as goalkeeper coach.

"It's a step forward for our academy," Miriam Rivas

Osasuna Femenino delegate Miriam Rivas is thrilled about creating this new team. "For Osasuna Femenino, forming players from a young age is important. We are a benchmark club in Navarre, and we need options to attract young players and develop them in our pyramid from a young age. What we are doing now is a forward step for the club," she said.

The competition will start the weekend of October 13

The first game for the Osasuna Femenino 8-a-side team will be the weekend of October 13. Las Rojillas' league is the Navarrese League U-12/U-14 division, divided into two groups: North and South. Following the tournament's first phase, the best two teams from each group and the best third place will play a round-robin group to determine the champion.
