Osasuna re-signs midfielder Aimar Oroz until 2029

The Rojillo entity and the homegrown player extend their relationship for five more years

Club Atlético Osasuna re-signed midfielder Aimar Oroz through June 30, 2029, the club announced today. The extension joins the homegrown player and the Rojillo entity for three additional seasons to their previous agreement, which expired in 2026. The contract includes a €30,000,000 buyout clause. The Olympic champions and Sporting director Braulio Vázquez will address the media in the upcoming days.

Aimar Oroz Huarte (November 27, 20001; Arazuri, Navarre) is one of the latest academy products to join the first team and a crucial player for the first team. He arrived at Tajonar as an 11-year-old after representing Okastola Sanduzelai and Agrupación Deportiva San Juan. The homegrown player made his professional debut in 2019 at Córdoba. In the 2022-23 season, he became a regular for the first team. Oroz was a pilar for the club in its efforts to reach the Copa del Rey final and qualify for the UEFA Conference League play-offs.

At only 22 years old, he knows the importance of wearing the “number 10” on his back, previously worn by Rojillo legends such as Patxi Puñal and Roberto Torres. Today, he has played 84 games with the club and won the gold medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, where he was a starter for the national team.

The club’s strategy to strengthen its sporting project includes extending his contract.
