Tajonar, Spain (Saturday, July 20, 2024) - Club Atlético Osasuna defeated its affiliate, Osasuna Promesas, 5-0 in their first preseason match in Tajonar on Saturday morning. Forwards Raúl García and Ander Yoldi led the way, scoring two goals each in the first half, and defender Unai García sealed the game with a header late in the second half.

The game started with both teams keeping each other at bay. However, Osasuna began to take the lead and, in the 18th minute, scored the first goal as midfielder Moi Gómez tested goalkeeper Pablo Valencia with a shot, which the goalkeeper couldn't secure and Raúl García did not hesitate to place the ball in the back of the net. A few minutes later, defender Nacho Vidal sent a cross from the left flank to find Yoldi, who scored the match's second goal. In the 33rd minute, Yoldi collected another cross, this time by defender Rubén Peña, to score his first preseason brace. As the first half ended, midfielder Jon Moncayola stole the ball near the opponent's box and found Raúl García, who, after dribbling past a defender, blasted a rocket past Valencia.

In the second half, Osasuna continued to lead the game and created danger near goalkeeper Dimitrios Stamatakis's goal. Midfielder Iker Benito had a chance to increase the score line with a powerful shot and midfielder Rubén García also tried from a free kick, but the Greek goalie stopped both attempts. In the 77th minute, Unai scored the game's fifth goal when he headed the ball off a corner kick.
