Forward Ante Budimir scored his 17th goal of the season in the first half, while forward José Luis Morales scored the equalizer in the second half.
In the first half, Osasuna created the best chances. From the get-go, Los Rojillos looked for Budimir with crosses, and before the 10th minute, the Croatian international put goalkeeper Pepe Reina to the test with a dangerous strike from close range. El Cisne scored past the half-hour when defender Rubén Peña sent a low cross from the right flank after a tremendous collective effort. In the last minutes of the half, Osasuna had three good chances—two from corner kicks and the last one a shot by defender Jesús Areso that missed the target.
In the second half, the Groguet side came out looking for the equalizer and completed the feat before the hour mark. After the goal, both teams remained even and looking for the goal. Osasuna kept fighting until the end, but the visiting side got the closest to get the three points with a goal by Morales, which was ruled offside due to an offside.
