The midfielder returns to Navarre after spending six seasons in Villarreal.
Pamplona (Monday, June 12, 2023) – Club Atlético Osasuna signed midfielder Jon García to a three-year contract with Osasuna Promesas, the club announced today. García will join the club on July 1 and will be part of the affiliate for the next three seasons, with an option for two more. The Navarrese player joins the club on a free transfer after finishing his contract with Villarreal Club de Fútbol.
García returns home after spending the last six seasons in the Villarreal academy. The midfielder started his career playing with his school, Ermitaberri, with whom he was named MVP of the 2015 Torneo Interescolar. He later played for Burládes. He arrived in Tajonar as a nine-year-old and stayed in the rojillo academy after five seasons when he left for Villarreal. In Castellón, he started with Cadete B and worked his way to the second affiliate, which plays in Tercera Federación. During his time with Villarreal, he played in UEFA Youth League. We will now join the team led by head coach Santi Castillejo, which will return to Primera Federación after a remarkable 2022-23 campaign.
