Osasuna head coach Vicente Moreno addressed the media for the first time since returning from Massanassa, his hometown and one of the towns affected by the "Cold Drop," to help and be with his family. The coach's first message was to thank the Rojillo entity for its support. “I am thankful to Osasuna. From the first moment, they were open with me for whatever was needed without conditions. When I talk about Osasuna, I refer to the whole Osasuna family: from the board of directors, the president, the managers, [CEO] Fran [Canal], [sporting director] Braulio [Vázquez], [associate assistant director] Cata [Prieto], the players, all the employees. The coaches who have filled in these weeks. It has certainly not been easy. You often talk about Osasuna being a family, but times like these make you realize why Osasuna is a special club. That's how it made me feel. Even though I might be here briefly - I don't know how long I might be here – I will never forget this gesture. Also, thanks to all the Osasuna fans because we have also felt their affection. I met many people from Navarre while I was down there helping in my hometown."
"Life goes on. I can assure you that I am delighted and eager to rejoin the team. As I said, I am very grateful to everyone and already focused with maximum energy on our next challenge, the game against Villarreal. During the week, we have prepared it to the best of our ability. A win against Villarreal will be the best way to kick off this new beginning; it is a difficult task because it is a top-quality team that is above us in the standings, but we are hopeful, and I am sure we will get it done," Moreno added.
"A massive game"
Regarding the game, Rojillo boss highlighted, "It is a massive game." "We are receiving a great team like Villarreal, who has an amazing roster." He added, "We must consider how the opponent plays, their particularities, characteristics, and based on that, we must create a game plan to stop them. However, I think the difference in this game is being ourselves; we do our game and challenge the opposition. So, our goal is to be ourselves, show our best self, and see what we can get, knowing we have a great opponent in front… I trust my team, and we are doing this together."
